But it sure as hell makes me feel better. In the class I take on Saturday we discuss current events for a few minutes before getting into class work. My professor was asking our opinion on the upcoming election and about what we thought about the two possible democratic candidates. This girl, and I say girl, says, “I would not vote for Hilary because she’s a girl and girls are whiney, petty and weak. A girl could not possibly protect us.” W. T. F.?? No one said a word. It was a very awestruck moment. The guys thought it was hysterical and started laughing. They seemed to secretly agree with her, all us gals were dumbstruck and wanted to stab her. This idiot girl just set us back 100 years. Some of the guys were arguing it’s her opinion and it’s not that bad. They thought it was cute and funny. Let me say it another way. “I would not vote for Obama because he’s black and black people are shiftless, lazy and are criminals. A black person could not possibly protect us.” Not so cute and funny anymore is it? There is no difference in the statements above they are both ignorant and completely fucked up. I really wanted to kick her ass after class. You know, 3 o’clock by the swings. I wanted to lay her out like pizza dough. Violence was my only answer because really how weak am I when I pound you into the ground you stupid stupid cow. How would a patient and normal person respond to that kind of comment? What could I possibly say that would A) prove her wrong and B) change her opinion?
Nothing. There’s nothing you can do to change her mind because she is “whiney, petty and weak. ” And stupid and prejudiced… Hm. Ok, don’t change her mind, but go ahead with that violence idea you had. That’s a good one.
