riding cross the land
Today as I awaited the arrival of my sista (woohoo, she’s coming. Not to be confused with my sister which would be a woohoo moment but of a different caliber) I was watching the Planet Earth on Discovery HD. I watch a lot of MythBusters so the advertisments for said program have been down right insane. Does it live up to the hype? In HD it does. “Used a bunch of special cameras over the course of blah years at far distances of yak earth blah blah blah.” To state what the commericals gloss over, it’s damn pretty. I mean damn pretty. If you have HDTV this almost makes up the for having to pay extra for HD service. Wow. I sat mesmerized on my couch. I mean the editing was good, and the subject matter (penguins and baby polar bears!) was cute, but it all comes down to, it’s damn pretty. HD users, (yes slumlord I’m talking to you) make with the watching!
OH I HAVE SEEN IT!!! I have all of them saved to watch over and over again. I have a great appreciation for the camera people who sat out in the jungle for months on end just to get that freaky bird dance. It was darn worth it though. If ever there was a good argument for HD this is it!! Set your DVR and watch all of them.
