get creative

A few weeks ago I mentioned I was in the market for a PMP.  I picked one up right before my flight home, I got the Creative Zen Vision W. Not an Archos but so far I’m pleased with my purchase.  1st, the Vision was $60 cheaper than the Archos.  2nd, the Vision supports xvid and divx files and the Archos doesn’t.  I can drag and drop TV shows I find online directly to the device, no need for lengthy conversions into windows media.

Size and demensions are exact to a Nintendo DS.  This is very convenient because the Vision doesn’t have many 3rd party cases but the DS has tons.  Right now I carry it in my blue DS case till I can find a permanent case of its own.  On the weight side its a little heavier then a DS, more akin to the 1st iPod heftwise.

see? flimsy sack is all it came with.  A case is necessary to protect the screen.

I know, brand new and fingerprints already

Video quality is very good.  480×272 4.3″ widescreen.  256,000 colors displayed.  Not as many as the PSP but more than the Archos.

Ah, some coupling action.

I got it mainly for the gym and it works perfectly.  All those machines have a lip of some sort for magazine reading, I use it for TV viewing.  The guy on the treadmill next to me was jealous.
